MGT 3500 - FUTURE OF FASHION MERCHANDISING:SUSTAINABILITY

FSH 3500 -MER 3500 -MGT 3500. The fashion industry is one of the world’s largest consumer industries, and the source of over 10% of the world’s carbon emissions. Will look at the growing importance of sustainability for the fashion industry, with topics including resource use, environmental issues, business practices, and the impact of trends such as fast fashion and consumer preferences. It will also examine the economic implications of sustainability, and help prepare students for a growing social responsibility issue for leadership positions in fashion merchandising. Method of Evaluation: Assignments / Quizzes, 20%, Exams 30%, Written case studies 20%, and Term project 30%.
