credits: 3.0 Objectives: A) Explain the development of phonology; B) Describe disordered articulation and phonology resulting from organic and functional causes; C) Describe assessment procedures and interpret results; D) Describe the major approaches to remediation. Method of Instruction: Will be taught primarily through lectures, class discussions, case studies, and activities. Videos may be used to enhance the student’s ability to recognize and identify various disorders of articulation and phonology and to understand various therapeutic techniques. Method of Evaluation: Two exams, in-class activities, assignments, and presentations.
