NSG 2520 - FUNDAMENTALS OF NURSING CARE II credits: 3.0 Lab course, nine contact hours. This is the second component of the Nursing Practicum. This course will facilitate clinical application of basic concepts of the nursing process in caring for individual clients in a health care setting. The student will have an opportunity to build upon previously learned nursing skills and procedures. Method of Instruction: Self-learning modules, Laboratory Practice, and Clinical Practicum Method of Evaluation: Students will be evaluated on their overall performance, as well as their mastery of specific required skills in both the laboratory and clinical setting: 1) Quizzes on self-learning modules. 2) Laboratory performance evaluation. 3) Clinical performance. 4) Process paper. 5) Drug profiles. 6) Mid-term exam. 7) Final exam.
