ITM 3010 - INTRODUCTION TO MANAGEMENT INFO SYSTEMS credits: 3.0 Crosslisted/Same As: MIS 3010 ITM - MIS 3010 Provides an introduction to computer-based information systems used by management. Surveys the hardware, software, and systems used to facilitate business processes, solve business-related problems, take advantage of business opportunities, and make effective decisions. Objectives: A) To understand the role and importance of information systems in all facets of business and electronic commerce; B) Demonstrate an understanding and use of the hardware and software used by information systems; C) Recognize, appreciate, and respond to the social implications of using information technology. Method of Instruction: Lectures, readings, discussions, and group project. Method of Evaluation: In-class exercises, assignments, case studies, exams, and term project. Course Fees: TBA.
Prerequisite(s): Sophomore through Senior status, students should have 12 earned credits and >3.0 GPA and MGT 2240 or MKT 2250 or ACC 2010 .
