PSC 3070 - DEVELOPMENTAL POLITICS credits: 3.0 Initially, this course takes up an overview of issues relevant to the understanding of contemporary problems of political development common to all developing countries. It addresses global issues of a generic nature: colonialism and nationalism, demographic trends and the mal distribution of food, militarism and mechanism for reducing conflicts as they relate to development. Method of Instruction: Lectures and ample class discussion. Method of Evaluation: Three exams, article discussions, debates, research paper, and participation. Meets *WRT and *GLP Distribution Requirement.
