MKT 3810 - MARKETING RESEARCH

FSH 3810 -MKT 3810. Study of the role of marketing information as the basis for decision making. Topics include: Cost and value of information under conditions of uncertainty, and research design, methods of data gathering, analysis of data gathering, analysis of data, inference, simulation and forecasting. Objectives: A) Apply principles and practices related to marketing research used by profit and non-profit organizations; B) Describe how and why marketing research is affected by an organization’s internal and external environment; C) Demonstrate use of concepts and practices from other courses, including those in statistics and marketing; D) Collaborate with classmates to complete in-class assignments and term projects; E) Communicate orally and in writing as individuals and in-group settings. Method of Instruction: Lectures, case studies, class discussion, and assigned readings. Method of Evaluation: Quizzes, exams, assignments, and term project. Course Fee: $50.00 for student consulting project.
