Topics include: integument, bone, muscle, digestive, respiratory, circulatory, urogenital, and nervous system anatomy. Objectives: A) Relate gross anatomical and histological tissue structure to functional adaptation among related vertebrates in an evolutionary context; B) Use dissection techniques to explain comparative anatomical relationships among fish, amphibians, and mammals; C) Apply observational skills to practical comparative anatomical problems. Method of Instruction: Dissection, microscope observations, dissection manual preparation, and open lab review. Method of Evaluation: Based on laboratory quizzes, dissection technique and safety (30%), two laboratory practical exams (45%) and digital dissection project (25%).
