ART 3210 - DRAWING III credits: 3.0 An intermediate advanced studio course in the fundamental, perceptual and conceptual approaches to drawing. Students develop their sensibilities, familiarity and confidence with a variety of media, ranging from charcoal, ink, dyes, pastels, conte and pencil, utilizing their skills as observers leading to a greater understanding of the visual elements as they relate to drawing. Students explore history of drawing and how it has been used by artists as a means of expression. Subject matter includes: nude models, self-portraits, still-life, and nature. Course includes brief writing assignments, and group critiques. Method of Instruction: Studio work with lecture information continuous throughout class. Method of Evaluation: Creativity, appropriation of lesson plan, motivation and amount of exploration and experimentation. Course Fee: $50.00.
