EDU 3631 - PRACTICUM IN CURR DSIGN-INSTRCTN CHLDHD SPCIAL Ed: MTH, SCNCE, SS credits: 1.0 STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION. Graded on a Pass-Fail basis. This is a practicum component of EDU 3331 . Students will complete a college-supervised field experience with a minimum of 34 hours in a childhood-level special education classroom setting. Students will apply their course work related to planning and performing curriculum design and instruction in childhood-level special education classroom settings within the local school districts. Objectives: A) Plan appropriate curriculum for childhood-level students with disabilities in mathematics, science, social studies, and art instruction; B) Plan and implement appropriate instructional strategies for childhood-level students with disabilities in mathematics, science, social studies, and art instruction; C) Demonstrate respect and positive rapport with childhood-level students with disabilities. Method of Instruction: Classroom experiences where students are implementing their lessons created in EDU 3331 . Method of Evaluation: Observation, Written reflections, and Participation on a Pass-Fail basis.
