SSC 4999 - INTERNSHIP IN INTERNATIONAL STUDIES credits: 3.0 This is a variable credit course for 3.0 OR 6.0 credits. For students who want to apply issues and insights from the field of International Studies to a community or organizational setting. Students contract with a faculty member to create a final project of their choice. Objectives: A) Students will successfully apply International Studies insight in an organizational or community setting; B) Students and supervising faculty members are expected to develop at least one additional course, specific learning outcome for the internship. The student will be evaluated by the faculty member on the basis of the learning outcomes. Method of Instruction: This is an internship. Method of Evaluation: Faculty member will assess the final product that was mutually agreed for the internship. No student can pass the internship without completing the minimum number of hours for a 3 credit or 6 credit internship and graded on a S-D-F basis. Meets Career Related Internship Requirements
Prerequisite(s): Completed Sophomore coursework and Instructor’s Signature Required. Also need to complete a contract with the Office of Career Services, before registering for course.
