PSC 3030 - THE UNITED STATES IN WORLD ARENA credits: 3.0 Objectives: A) Comprehend the style or discipline of American foreign policy based upon experiences in world affairs, after World War II, and in light of recent post-Cold War conditions; B) Identify and interpret the role domestic and international actors play, and the information of the policy and resulting problems; C) analyze the patterns and processes of decision-making in the U.S., particularly relating to crisis management; D) project into the future the American role in world affairs. Method of Instruction: Lecture, discussion, debate, and simulation. Method of Evaluation: Mid-term (35%), final (35%), and discussion, debate, and simulation (30%). Meets *WEP Distribution Requirement.
Prerequisite(s): PREVIOUS STUDY IN AMERICAN HISTORY OR INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS.
