LAL 1020 - CLASSICAL LITERATURE credits: 3.0 This class introduces the student to a sampling of the principal authors of ancient Greece and Rome in translation. Works will be discussed in terms of what makes these writings classics, how or what they contribute to our understandings of contemporary issues and why people continue to read these works. Method of Instruction: Lecture and discussion. Method of Evaluation: Two short papers, a midterm, final exam, and class participation. Meets *WEP Distribution Requirement.
