FIN 1050 - PERSONAL FINANCE credits: 3.0 To enable students to survive in the real world of financial decision making. topics to be covered will include: personal budgeting, developing a family balance sheet, understanding financial services, home purchase and financing , insurance, purchasing goods and services, financial planning and investments. It is the aim of this course to enable students to understand why certain strategies are correct, not just tell them what to do. Method of Instruction: Lecture and discussion. Method of Evaluation: Two exams, presentation, homework, and quizzes. Meets *QR Distribution Requirement for the FIN 1050 long term course.
