ENV 4998 - INTERNSHIP IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE credits: 3.0 This is a credit variable course for 3.0 (120 hrs) OR 6.0 credits (240 hrs) for Internship for Environmental Science. For students interested in working in any field related to Environmental Science. Students will choose a faculty member to supervise the internship. Objectives: A) Students will successfully apply disciplinary knowledge in a setting appropriate to the field; B) Students and supervising faculty members will develop at least one additional course-specific learning outcome for the internship. The student will be evaluated by the faculty member on the basis of the learning outcomes. Method of Instruction: This is an internship. Method of Evaluation: The faculty member will assess the final product that was mutually agreed upon. No student can pass the internship without completing the minimum number of hours for a 3 credit or 6 credit internship. Graded on Pass-Fail basis. Meets FEX-Career Related Internship Requirements.
Prerequisite(s): Completed Sophomore coursework in the Environmental major. Instructor’s Signature Required. Also need to complete a contract with the Office of Career Services, before registering for course.
