ENG 3094 - CONTEMPORARY AMERICAN POETRY credits: 3.0 Contemporary American Poetry represents often wildly divergent poetic practices and philosophies. We will study American poets with an eye on voice, poetics, conventions and aesthetics. We will attempt to discover how this art form contributes to our understanding of art, humanity and our world. Method of Instruction: Discussion, lecture and seminar. Method of Evaluation: Two essay exams, one presentation, and a final paper. Meets *WRT and *WEP Distribution Requirements.
Prerequisite(s): Any 2000 Level English course.
