EDU 2621 - PRACTCM TEACHING STDNTS DISABLITIES IN THE INCLUSIVE CLASSRM

This is a practicum component of EDU 2020 . Students will complete a college-supervised field experience with a minimum of thirty-four hours in a classroom setting. Students will apply their course work related to the skills necessary to provide instruction that promotes the participation and progress of students with disabilities in inclusive classrooms within the local school districts. Objectives: A) Examine practices in inclusive classrooms through observation and reflection; B) Plan and implement appropriate inclusive strategies for students with disabilities; C) Design an inclusive classroom learning environment plan that meets the needs of all learners based on differentiated instructional strategies, State, National, and Common Core Standards and technology; D) Develop the appropriate accommodations and modifications to insure successful learning of students with disabilities in an inclusive classroom; E) Describe components of Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for Students with Disabilities; F) Demonstrate respect and positive rapport with students with disabilities. Method of Instruction: Classroom experiences where students are implementing their lessons created in EDU 2020 . Method of Evaluation: Observation, Written reflections, Assessment analysis, and Participation and on a Pass-Fail basis.
