CHE 3150 - INSTRUMENTAL ANALYSIS credits: 4.0 This course will emphasize the use of instruments in chemical determinations. Objectives: Students will have developed the ability to use instruments to determine constants of disassociation of weak acids and complex formation, students will have acquired essential skills to operate atomic absorption, infrared, ultraviolet, and visible aspect rophotometers, and students will be able to interpret magnetic resonance and mass spectroscopy spectre in derivations of molecular structure. Method of Instruction: Three one-hour exams (50%), labs (25%), and final exam (25%).
Prerequisite(s): CHE 1515 - GENERAL CHEMISTRY II Co-Requisite(s): MUST BE TAKEN WITH CHE 3150L LAB.
