ARH 2950 - TUTORIAL STUDIES IN ART HISTORY credits: 1.0 Is a credit variable course, credits 1.0-3.0 credits. Tutorial study offers students an opportunity to investigate an individually selected topic through reading and discussions with the instructor. Students may choose to focus their study on an individual artist, period, style, genre, or movement. Method of Instruction: The student, in consultation with the instructor, will select a topic, and develop a reading list and general outline of study during the first week of the term. The student and instructor will meet at least once weekly to discuss readings and research direction. By the end of the third week the student will present a detailed outline and complete bibliography for the final paper or project. The remainder of the term will involve continued research, developing ideas and refining the final product. Method of Evaluation: The student’s grade will be based on preparation for weekly meetings and the quality of the final product
