ENV 3420 - MARINE BIOLOGY credits: 4.0 Crosslisted/Same As: BIO 3420 MARINE BIOLOGY This course will offer an introduction to living in a marine environment and will focus on the diversity and special adaptations of marine organisms. The various marine ecosystems will be introduced and human impacts on these systems will addressed. This course is aimed at environmental science or biology majors who wish to learn more about marine systems, organismal diversity and adaptation. Objectives: A) Discuss organismal adaptations and diversity through learning focused on marine life; B) Describe different marine habitats, including chemical and physical factors; C) Evaluate potential interactions between marine organisms and their environment; D) Recognize human impacts on marine habitats and organisms. Method of Instruction: Lecture and laboratory instruction. Co-requisite BIO or ENV 3420L Course Fee: $125.00.
