CYS 4590 - ETHICAL HACKING credits: 3.0 To stop a hacker, you need to be able to think like a hacker. In this course, you will learn hands-on techniques for attacking and penetrating networks and systems. You’ll learn the tools to launch these offensive tactics, and then complete a hands-on project where you will be asked to ethically hack a real system. Objectives: A) Design and execute penetration tests and vulnerability assessments to simulate attacks and identify weaknesses; B) Analyze the results from ethical hacking tools to prioritize vulnerabilities based on their severity and potential impact on network and system security; C) Conduct ethical hacking activities with a focus on legality and morality, adhering strictly to an approved code of conduct and ethical hacking guidelines; D) Communicate the findings from ethical hacking endeavors clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders to promote an understanding of cybersecurity risks and defenses.
