CYS 2020 - THE FUTURE OF CYBERSECURITY credits: 3.0 Technology is racing forward, and cybersecurity must stay ahead to meet new challenges and threats. In this class, you will learn about the changing landscape of cybersecurity, emerging mobile technologies that are likely to be targeted, and new forms of cyber-attacks being launched. By the end of the course, you will be able to implement the most cutting-edge practices in cybersecurity in order to protect against attacks. Objectives: A) Develop strategies to assess and counteract social engineering attacks by enhancing organizational awareness and implementing identity verification measures; B) Implement countermeasures to mitigate detected threats and vulnerabilities in mobile environments; C) Conduct threat assessments in cloud environments to identify and evaluate potential security risks; D)Apply best practices for securing cloud-based environments, focusing on maintaining integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data in the cloud. Method of Instruction: On-line.
