THE 1013 - INTRODUCTION TO ACTING credits: 3.0 An introduction to the basic skills and techniques of the actor. Improvisations and exercises are used to develop the student’s awareness, sensitivities, imagination, and spontaneity, and their application to truthful portrayals in realistic texts. Method of Instruction: Improvisations, exercises, monologues, and scenes are executed in class, reworked, and analyzed. A reading list of text books and plays is part of the course. Method of Evaluation: Assignments are graded and a final paper-project is required. Course Fee: $30.00.
