THE 2070 - STAGE COSTUME AND MAKEUP credits: 3.0 An in-depth study, both theoretical and applied, of the basic principles of Costume and Makeup for the stage. Students are expected to complete one Costume or Makeup crew in order to pass this course. Objectives: Will acquire an understanding of: Color theory, Costume terminology, Makeup terminology, sewing, pattern cutting, fabric selection, makeup techniques and application. Method of Instruction: Lecture and discussion, demonstration and class projects. Class projects will consist of a specific Costume and Makeup problem, which the student will solve by applying Costume and Makeup techniques in class. Will be two extensive final projects to be presented in class. Method of Evaluation: Will be evaluated on class projects, on exams and final projects. Course Fee: $35.00.
