CRJ 1010 - INTRODUCTION TO CRIMINAL JUSTICE credits: 3.0 Will be introduced to all of the criminal justice process. Will emphasize: legal definition of crimes, sociological data about crime rates and legal and social contexts of police, courts, and corrections. Issues in criminal justice are seen within both a philosophical and historical context concerning rights which are inherent in American citizenship. Objectives: To delineate the stages of the criminal justice process and to evaluate administrative and policy issues involved. Method of Instruction: Lecture, discussion, exams, and paper.
