ART 2220 - PAINTING II

An intermediate studio course in the fundamental and perceptual approaches to painting in correlation to Painting I. Students will learn to develop familiarity and confidence with painting mediums, with a strong emphasis on oils, utilizing their skill as observers leading to a greater understanding of the visual elements as they relate to painting. Subject matter includes: nude models, self-portraits, still-life, and nature. Course includes brief writing assignments and group critiques. Method of Instruction: Studio work with technical and perceptual and lecture information continuous throughout class. Method of Evaluation: Creativity, appropriation of lesson plan, motivation and amount of exploration and experimentation. Course Fee: $50.00.
