ACC 4510 - ACCOUNTING INTERNSHIP credits: 3.0 Needs approval by the Office of Career Services, before registering for course. This course is a 120 hour supervised field experience in an approved private or public company or governmental agency or CPA firm. The purpose of an accounting internship is to provide the student with valuable experience that bridges the classroom experience with the practical, professional experience of working in the field of accounting. Objectives: Using classroom experience for practical accounting applications and increase professional skills. Method of Instruction: Students will be working with an organization and will have a direct supervisor responsible for the work projects. Method of Evaluation: Graded on a pass-fail basis, based upon the successful completion of your internship. The grading consists of the Supervisor’s Evaluation (50%) and five page paper on your Internship Experience (50%).
