ACC 3540 - INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTING I


credits: 3.0
Is a study of the accounting theories and practices applied in the preparation of financial statements, including the income statement, the balance sheet, and the cash flow statement. Accounting procedures for current assets, fixed assets, investments, and current and contingent liabilities will be emphasized. Method of Instruction: Lecture and discussion. Students will be expected to read assigned materials prior to class and to be prepared to take an active part in classroom discussions and in the solution of assigned problems. Method of Evaluation: Two exams during the semester, a final comprehensive exam, a practice set, and quizzes will be considered in the final grade.
