LAL 5140 - Bks Teenage Reader

A whole language, multicultural survey of both classic and contemporary adolescent literature. This course focuses on the teacher’s need to develop strategies for active learning. The selected reading list includes trade books as a vital supplement to teaching across the curriculum. Students taking this course are encouraged to explore genres and themes which will serve them best in their own classrooms.
