Building on the knowledge of literacy acquisition and development theories, graduate students plan, implement, and assess literacy intervention methods, materials, and programs appropriate for the individual literacy needs of learners in Preschool to Grade 12. A primary importance is placed on literacy intervention that meets the needs of diverse learners in a multicultural and multilingual society.
