This course provides the historical and philosophical context for, and relationship to, contemporary American Education. Students are expected to describe historical and philosophical influences affecting American Education; analyze government, religious, and ideological factors that have influenced American Education; discuss legal political and ethical influences on school systems; and develop or solidify a personal and professional philosopy of educatoin.
