EDU 3655 - PRACTCUM IN CURRICULUM, INSTRUCTIONAND ASSESSMENT IN: CHLDHD ED credits: 1.0 STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION. This is a practicum component of EDU 3355 . Students will complete a college-supervised field experience with a minimum of thirty-four hours in an elementary setting. Students will apply their course work related to planning and performing curriculum, instruction, and assessments in classrooms within the local school districts. Objectives: A) Plan appropriate curriculum for childhood education students in mathematics, science, and technology instruction; B) Plan and implement appropriate instructional strategies for childhood education students in mathematics, science, and technology instruction; C) Plan, create, administer and analyze formative and summative assessments for childhood education students in mathematics, science, and technology instruction; D) Demonstrate respect and positive rapport with students. Method of Instruction: Classroom experiences where students are implementing their lessons created in EDU 3355 . Method of Evaluation: Observation, Written reflections, Assessment analysis, and Participation, graded on a Pass-Fail basis.
