MGT 6000 - Graduate Seminar credits: 3.0 Is an On-Line Masters level course. The graduate seminar is the capstone course for all M.S. Management candidates. Students from each of the major concentrations (Business and Health Services) will achieve the capstone learning objectives in a multi-disciplinary format. This course provides the setting for students to share the knowledge, skills, and attitudes acquired throughout the program as well as synthesize and integrate their learning in the context of a collaborative management paradigm. Expert professionals will address the students in sessions regarding timely management issues and practices. Multi-disciplinary groups of students will be required to work together to solve problems designed by a team of experts and assigned as projects. The student is expected to present a portfolio of program accomplishments (i.e., papers, examinations, presentations) after editing and making appropriate additions. The introduction to this portfolio will be a personal philosophy statement regarding the student’s philosophy of management. This philosophy statement will be between ten to fifteen pages in length. The student will be expected to demonstrate how this philosophy is manifest in day-to-day operations and integrated with other management disciplines.
