EDU 5352 - Contemporary Issues Education credits: 3.0 Designed to help students identify and describe important problems, trends and issues which are significantly shaping education today and in the future. Students will critically examine issues through thoughtful reading, discussion and reflection. Students will thoroughly explicate a selected topic and share their finding with others in class. Method of Instruction: Will utilize a variety of instructional techniques including lectures, discussion, independent research, and the use of audio/visual materials. Students will be responsible for accessing and viewing online power points and designated web links as well as participating in weekly discussion forms. Method of Evaluation: Current Research Review 30%, Research Paper, 30%, and Discussion Forum Participation, 40%.
